Casual Employment Opportunity


The Shire of Dundas is seeking a Ranger to provide support in the operation of animal management.

Working under limited supervision, either individually or in a team environment, some of the responsibilities of the position are: performing patrols of the Norseman townsite and where appropriate impound dogs/cats, attend areas as requested on reports of stray dogs/cats, and maintain animal management facility.

Remuneration is set at Level 1 plus 25% casual loading ($24.4375 per hour). Additional benefits will be in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2010 and Council’s Policy Manual. This is a casual position working a 10 hour week. Required training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The successful applicant must be able to pass a National Police Clearance, hold a valid C class (manual) drivers licence and be willing to attend animal management training sessions.
