Swimming Pool

The Norseman Swimming Pool operates during the summer months (approximately November to April). Located next to Marks Park and Welcome Park.

Opening hours:

  • Tuesday to Sunday: 12.00pm – 6.00pm

  • Closed Christmas Day

Gym

The Norseman Gym is located on the southern boundary of Welcome Park on Roberts Street, with access adjacent to the public toilets.

Access & membership:

  • 24/7 access via key entry

  • One-off membership fee applies

  • Members may pre-pay multiple months at a discounted rate

  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable

  • Early termination results in forfeiture of unused membership time

Conditions of use:

  • Access is limited to persons aged 16 years and over

  • Users are asked to report any equipment requiring repair or maintenance

Community Bus

A community bus is available for hire through the Shire of Dundas.

Youth Centre

The Norseman Youth Centre is open to young people aged 12–17 and operates under a “No School = No Youth Centre” policy.

Opening hours during school terms:

  • Tuesday to Friday: 3.00pm – 6.00pm

  • Saturday: 9.00am – 6.00pm

Opening hours during school holidays:

  • Tuesday to Friday: 9.00am – 6.00pm

  • Saturday: 9.00am – 6.00pm

Community Resource Centre

The Norseman Community Resource Centre is located in the Woodlands Centre at 78 Prinsep Street.

Opening hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 4.00pm

Centrelink

A Services Australia Remote Access Office is available at the Norseman CRC, if you require assistance a Centrelink agent is also available.

Social Events & Venues

Town Hall

The Norseman Town Hall is located on Prinsep Street and is available for private and community functions.

Facilities:

  • Seating capacity for up to 200 people

  • Kitchen, crockery, tables and seating available

Sporting Complex

The Norseman Sporting Complex is located at the town oval on Sinclair Street and is available for functions.

Facilities:

  • Seating capacity for up to 100 people

  • Kitchen, kiosk, showers and chairs included

Oval & Lighting

The town oval is available for use by the community and sporting groups.

  • Daytime access is unrestricted

  • Night-time lighting is available for a fee

Basketball Courts & Lighting

The basketball courts are available for community and sporting group use.

  • Daytime access is unrestricted

Tennis courts are available for use by all townspeople and sporting groups.

Squash Courts

Squash courts are available for hire using a token system.

  • Two courts are located at the northern end of the Sporting Complex

  • Tokens can be purchased from the administration office

Skate Park

The skate park is located on Roberts Street, behind Marks Park and in front of the Swimming Pool.
