Position Overview
Local Mail & Parcel Post Delivery Driver
The Shire of Dundas is seeking applications for the position of Local Mail & Parcel Post Delivery Driver at the Norseman Local Post Office.
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient and mail and parcel delivery supporting the continued operation of an essential community service. Flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right applicant. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Securing Postal Mail & Parcels from Australia Post contractors
- Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace
- Eyre Highway Mail allocations
- Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes
- Strict compliance to Australia Post privacy and security requirements
- Delivery vehicle loading and pre-shift vehicle safety checks
- Ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of parcels in line with company standards
- Build positive relationships with customers through responsive and courteous service
- Undertake administrative duties including stocktaking and record maintenance
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Current Motorcycle and Car Licence
- Demonstrated customer service experience and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- High level of attention to detail and accountability
- Physical capacity to lift up to 16kg and stand for extended periods
- Physical capacity to do mail and parcel deliveries
